About Therapy with Louise Walsh

Louise’s Therapy Sanctuary was created from a deep understanding of how difficult it can be to access timely and meaningful mental health support. The sanctuary was founded on both professional training and lived experience, shaped by years of supporting individuals who have been impacted by trauma, neurodiversity, addiction, and long periods of emotional isolation.
At the heart of Louise’s Therapy Sanctuary is a belief that healing should feel safe, compassionate, and accessible. Our work is trauma-informed and person-centred, supporting children, young people, and adults who are navigating mental health difficulties, addictive behaviours, and life-limiting habits.
Louise trained as a therapist after supporting her own son through years of isolation following significant school-related trauma while facing extended waiting lists for specialist services. Through consistent therapeutic support and practical life-skills work, he was able to rebuild confidence, regain independence, and re-engage with everyday life.
This experience continues to shape the sanctuary’s approach — offering support that is realistic, patient, and rooted in genuine understanding.
Alongside therapeutic work, Louise’s Therapy Sanctuary brings extensive experience in addiction support and habit change. We are in the process of opening a dedicated centre to provide structured, compassionate care for individuals experiencing addiction, behavioural patterns, and complex mental health challenges.
Our sanctuary exists to bridge the gap between clinical support and real-life needs — offering a calm, non-judgemental space where individuals are supported to reconnect with themselves, build resilience, and move forward at their own pace.
